           -      A Masters degree represents the first step in the culmination 
    of a program     to seek mastery of musical history and literature in 
its    application to     performance.  The successful completion of 
this  degree  will enable the     student to be comfortable participating 
in interviews    and/or auditions or     acting in the capacity of a music

     -            A Doctoral Degree is a terminal degree that represents
 the culmination    of     a program which imparts expertise in performance
 and authoritative    knowledge     to the successful candidate. The successful 
 completion of  this  degree will     enable the student to make a substantial 
 contribution  to the art of music     and the profession as a whole.
 
     
         
                 
 Doctor of Musical Arts - Extension Division 
                 
 It is a pleasure to present our accelerated program leading to the degree
     Doctor of Musical Arts.  No relocation or heavy travel is required.
     This program is suitable only for those who can present a sufficient
    background of academic transcripts and/or life experience credits, or
who    otherwise qualify for advanced standing.  Those who qualify may
be  able  to complete the degree requirements within a year's time.  Majors
  include  orchestral and choral conducting, piano, organ, orchestral instruments,
  theory,  and composition.   Please contact

         Certificate and Diploma Programs
         
                 
 A Certificate in Basic Musicianship is for those individuals who 
    wish to acquire entry level skills in music.  The program is a one 
  year  course of study. 
                 
 
                 
 The Honors Certificate is designed primarily for those students 
    who wish to qualify for entrance into the Performance Certificate Program 
    without first having completed a degree.  The program is a three 
year    course of study.    
                 
          
           -      Note:  Candidates entering the Performance
 Certificate    Program     as transfer students from other institutions
must  demonstrate    competence     in all subjects required in the Honors
Certificate  Program.       
 
                 
                   
   
                 
 The Performance Certificate represents a concentrated effort to
equip the student with outstanding performance skills at a level comparable 
    to the Master of Music.  This program revolves around performance 
 skills   to the exclusion of academic material and represents the first step
 towards   a quintessential achievement in music performance.           
 
          
           -      Note:  Candidates entering the Artist Diploma 
  Program   as transfer     students from other institutions must demonstrate 
  competence   at a doctoral     level or its equivalent. 
 
                 
                   
   
                 
          
 The Artist Diploma program represents a concentrated effort to 
    equip the student with outstanding performance skills at a level superior 
    to the Doctor of Musical Arts.  This program revolves around performance 
    skills to the exclusion of academic material and represents the quintessential
     achievement in music performance.  This program is recommended
for    graduates  of a doctoral program or its equivalent.

  studies.  All courses     of study taken at this institution in the

theology.   A Bachelors degree     or its equivalent is required for entry

duties  and grants authoritative knowledge about elocution     to the successful
 candidate. The successful completion of this degree will     enable the
student  to achieve the elegance and eloquence of masterful pastoral elocution,
thus  to make a substantial contribution to the art of pastoral care through

Juris Doctor in Ecclesiastical Law Studies
    
       
      - A Juris Doctor Degree is a terminal professional degree that represents
  the culmination of     a program which imparts expertise in the performance
  of legal jurisprudence and conveys authoritative knowledge     to the successful
  candidate. The successful completion of this degree will     enable the
student  to practice ecclesiastical law in the church.  Warning,
this program  is not accredited by the American Bar Association, nor may
the successful candidate expect to practice law, nor may the candidate expect
